When Lynn gutters fill up
Tree species common in the region, such as broadleaf sugar maple, red maple, American beech, white birch, and northern red oak, send heavy leaf fall into area rain gutters. Eastern white pine and eastern hemlock drop pine needles year-round. Leaf drop usually peaks in early October, filling channel sections fast. Spring brings maple seed wings and heavy pollen catkins, while oak trees drop acorns that clog downspout elbows. Freezing nights happen regularly in winter, and snow is likely to build up on rooflines, making clear drainage critical when warmer weather starts melting snow. We recommend routine gutter cleaning at least twice a year, during spring and fall.
