When Lubbock gutters fill up
Trees common in the region drop debris into channels across Lubbock year-round. Broadleaf live oak leaves drop in spring rather than fall, accompanied by oak catkins and pecan debris. Crape myrtle, cedar elm, post oak, and loblolly pine debris collect through summer, while fall leaf drop usually peaks in early November. Winter brings ashe juniper pollen and freezing nights, though snow is rare and ice dams in gutters are not an issue. Trapped water can still freeze in filled gutter channels, expanding against fascia. We recommend cleaning gutters at least twice a year, spring and fall, to protect every Lubbock home roof.
