When Long Branch gutters fill up
Trees common in the region drop heavy debris into gutter channels across every season. White oak catkins drop in spring, while broadleaf red maple, hickory, tulip poplar, and eastern white pine needle cast fill gutters through summer and fall. Spiky sweetgum balls also land in gutter channels. Leaf drop usually peaks in mid October, filling downspouts right before winter. Freezing nights happen and snow is likely, making clear drainage critical to prevent trapped water from expanding into heavy ice blockages along your roof edge. We recommend gutter cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to keep systems clear.
