When Lodi gutters fill up
The regional foliage around Lodi brings steady drop into residential gutters throughout changing seasons. Broadleaf trees like red maple, white oak, hickory, tulip poplar, and sweetgum shed oak catkins in spring, while spiky sweetgum balls, acorns, and broad leaves fall later. Eastern white pine needles also settle into roof channels. Leaf drop usually peaks in mid October across New Jersey, followed by winter cold where freezing nights happen and snow is likely. Ice dams in gutters are not an issue here, but heavy snowmelt still requires an open path through every downspout. We recommend gutter cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to keep systems clear before freezing weather arrives.
