When Leesville gutters fill up
Tree species common in the region, such as live oak, post oak, pecan, crape myrtle, cedar elm, loblolly pine, and eastern red cedar, drop matter throughout the year. Live oak leaves drop in spring rather than fall, while oak catkins, pecan shells, and juniper pollen gather during winter and early months. Leaf drop usually peaks in early November. Freezing nights are rare in Leesville, so ice dams in gutters are not an issue. However, persistent rain combined with pine needles creates thick blockages. We recommend gutter cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to keep channels empty and water moving freely off the roof.
