When Larkspur gutters fill up
Tree canopies overhead shed material continuously, but leaf drop usually peaks in late October across Larkspur. Nearby trees drop leaves, needles and seeds directly onto the roof, where wind sweeps them straight into the channels. Freezing nights are rare here, so ice dams in gutters do not pose a problem, and snow is rare. However, heavy fall and winter rain will quickly overflow a clogged channel. To keep rainwater moving smoothly, we recommend scheduling gutter cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall. A spring gutter cleaning clears away pollen and dried debris, while a fall service prepares the roofline for wet winter storms.
