When Ladson gutters fill up
Trees common in the region drop debris across Ladson rooftops through every season. Pines like loblolly, longleaf, and slash pine shed thin needles all year long. Broadleaf trees such as live oak, water oak, sweetgum, red maple, and southern magnolia drop yellow pollen in spring, heavy acorns, sweetgum balls, and dense foliage. Leaf drop usually peaks in early November. Freezing nights happen, though ice dams are not an issue and snow is rare. Wet needles and leaves pack down tight inside the channels, holding damp weight along the roof. We recommend cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to protect your Ladson gutter system.
