When Ionia gutters fill up
Trees common in the region, including sugar maple, red maple, bur oak, hickory, American elm, white pine, and spruce, drop heavy materials throughout the seasons. Fallen leaves, maple seed wings, acorns, and pine needles quickly gather along roof edges. Leaf drop usually peaks in early October, clogging drainage paths right before winter. Freezing nights, snow, and winter ice dams in gutters create serious overflow issues if channels remain full of wet debris. We recommend cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to keep drainage clear before winter ice forms and before heavy spring rain arrives.
