When Indio gutters fill up
Trees across Indio are largely evergreen and shed leaves, needles, and seed pods year-round rather than dropping everything in one season. Dust storms combine with constant leaf drop, filling narrow channels continuously. Freezing nights are rare, so ice dams in gutters do not form here, and snow is rare in California low deserts. However, rare desert rain events hit hard, and dry wind loads troughs between storms. To prevent heavy sudden rains from overflowing clogged channels, we recommend gutter cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall. Regular seasonal care ensures every gutter system and downspout stays clear before unexpected atmospheric moisture sweeps through the desert valley.
