When Highlands gutters fill up
Trees common in the region drop leaves and debris across different times of the year. Broadleaf live oak leaves shed heavily in early spring rather than fall, while oak catkins and pecan shells fall soon after. Loblolly pine needles drop in late summer, and ashe juniper releases winter pollen that settles inside your system. Freezing nights are rare here, so ice dams in gutters are not an issue. However, heavy rains still demand clear channels to protect fascia and foundations. We recommend scheduling a gutter cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to maintain water flow and keep channels clear.
