When Highland Springs gutters fill up
Trees common in the region, such as broadleaf live oak, water oak, sweetgum, red maple, southern magnolia, loblolly pine, longleaf pine, and slash pine, drop materials near local homes throughout the year. Pine needles fall constantly, spring brings heavy yellow pollen, and sweetgum balls with oak leaves drop heavily as fall approaches. Broadleaf leaf drop usually peaks in late October across Virginia. While freezing nights happen and snow is likely during the winter months, ice dams in gutters are not an issue here. We recommend gutter cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to keep channels open through every seasonal cycle in Highland Springs.
