When Harwich gutters fill up
Trees common in the region, such as sugar maple, red maple, American beech, white birch, northern red oak, eastern white pine, and eastern hemlock, drop heavy debris onto local roofs. Spring brings maple seed wings, while fall brings a thick carpet of leaves, acorns, and pine needles. Leaf drop usually peaks in mid October, filling every open gutter line before winter. Freezing nights happen and snow is likely, though ice dams in gutters are not an issue here. Still, frozen debris can block drainage during winter thaws. We recommend cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to maintain complete water flow and keep your home protected.
