When Harriman gutters fill up
Tree species common in the region include white oak, hickory, tulip poplar, sweetgum, red maple, loblolly pine, and eastern red cedar. In spring, yellow pollen, seed pods, and oak catkins stick inside the metal channels. Fall brings heavy foliage, with leaf drop usually peaking in late October. Pines shed needles year-round, forming dense mats that trap oak acorns and sweetgum balls in the gutter line. Harriman experiences freezing nights, and snow is likely during winter, though ice dams in gutters are not an issue. We recommend gutter cleaning at least twice a year, during spring and fall, to protect the property through seasonal weather changes.
