When Happy Valley gutters fill up
Trees across Happy Valley drop leaves, needles and seeds that accumulate rapidly inside gutter channels. Fall rain washes this loose material into downspout outlets, where heavy buildup quickly blocks water flow. Snow is rare in this part of Oregon, and freezing nights are rare as well, meaning ice dams in gutters are not an issue for local homeowners. Continuous winter rain is the main threat to unprotected roof edges. To manage constant moisture and falling organic material, we recommend cleaning gutters at least twice a year, spring and fall. Scheduled gutter cleaning prevents wet debris from rotting along fascia boards during damp winter months.
