When Hadley gutters fill up
Trees common in the region drop heavy loads into residential gutters throughout the year. Sugar maple, red maple, American beech, white birch, and northern red oak shed broad leaves that peak in early October, while eastern white pine and hemlock drop sharp needles and small cones. Maple seed wings fall during spring months, quickly clogging downspout elbows. Freezing nights, heavy snow, and winter ice dams create additional structural stress when trapped wet debris freezes inside clogged channels. We recommend cleaning gutters at least twice a year, spring and fall, to protect the property before cold weather arrives.
