When Gun Plain gutters fill up
Trees common in the region, such as sugar maple, red maple, bur oak, hickory, American elm, white pine, and spruce, drop constant heavy materials. Leaf drop usually peaks in early October, filling channels with dense foliage and acorns, while spring brings maple seed wings and needles. Freezing nights, winter ice, and snow make blocked channels dangerous, as ice dams in gutters frequently back up under roof shingles. We recommend cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to clear this buildup. Scheduled fall gutter cleaning clears heavy fall drop before ice freezes the system, while spring service clears out winter debris to prepare your channels for heavy summer rainfall.
