When Green Hill gutters fill up
Trees common in the region, such as broadleaf white oak, hickory, tulip poplar, sweetgum, red maple, loblolly pine, and eastern red cedar, drop heavy debris into open channels. In spring, oak and pine pollen line the gutter, while acorns and sweetgum pods drop during summer. Leaf drop usually peaks in late October, bringing broad leaves that choke downspouts before winter. Freezing nights happen and snow is likely in Green Hill, though ice dams in gutters are not an issue. We recommend gutter cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to clear seasonal buildup before winter conditions arrive and to protect your residential roof.
