When Gonzalez gutters fill up
Trees common in the region drop leaves, needles, and seeds throughout every season in Gonzalez. Broadleaf live oak, water oak, sweetgum, red maple, and southern magnolia drop heavy leaves and seed pods, while sweetgum balls and acorns collect in roof corners. Conifers like loblolly pine, longleaf pine, and slash pine drop pine needles continuously all year long, mixed with thick yellow pollen in spring. Freezing nights are rare in this part of Florida, so ice dams in gutters are not an issue. However, dense pine needles form stubborn mats that block downspout openings. We recommend gutter cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to keep rainwater moving freely.
