When Gainesville gutters fill up
Trees common in the region, including broadleaf live oak, pecan, cedar elm, crape myrtle, post oak, loblolly pine, and ashe juniper, drop matter into gutters every season. Live oak trees lose leaves during early spring, while juniper pollen falls during winter months. Pecan trees drop shells, catkins, and fall foliage, with leaf drop usually peaking in early November. Freezing nights happen here, though ice dams are not an issue and snow is rare. We recommend gutter cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to clear out accumulated spring live oak leaves, summer pecan debris, and fall foliage before water causes damage.
