When Fullerton gutters fill up
Trees common in the region, including red maple, white oak, hickory, tulip poplar, sweetgum, and eastern white pine, send seasonal debris directly into gutters. Oak catkins drop early, while sweetgum balls, acorns, and broad leaves follow throughout summer and fall. Leaf drop usually peaks in mid October, packing every gutter run before cold winter weather sets in. Freezing nights happen here and snow is likely, though ice dams in gutters are not an issue. Trapped water inside a clogged gutter freezes hard, creating excessive weight that stresses hangers and seams. We recommend a complete gutter cleaning service at least twice a year, during spring and fall.
