When Five Forks gutters fill up
Trees common in the region drop leaves and seed pods into local drainage channels throughout the year. Pines drop pine needles year round, while broadleaf live oak, water oak, sweetgum, red maple, and southern magnolia shed heavily. Yellow pollen covers roofs in spring, followed by sweetgum balls and acorns later in the year. Live oak leaf drop occurs in spring, while general leaf drop usually peaks in late October. Freezing nights happen here, though ice dams in gutters are not an issue and snow is rare. We recommend gutter cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to keep channels flowing.
