When Evergreen gutters fill up
Our local climate brings freezing nights, winter snow, and ice dams in gutters that block regular water flow. Throughout the year, leaves, needles, and seeds from nearby trees collect in gutters along the roof. Leaf drop usually peaks in late September, filling channels right before early winter freezes hit Montana. When cold weather arrives, trapped debris retains water that freezes into heavy ice dams, pushing against the roof structure and pulling channels off fascia boards. We recommend scheduling a full gutter cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall. Spring clearing removes winter debris, while fall service prepares your roof and downspouts for snow.
