When Englewood gutters fill up
Trees common in the region, including red maple, white oak, hickory, tulip poplar, sweetgum, and eastern white pine, drop heavy matter into local gutters. Spring brings oak catkins that clump together inside the channel, while fall drops heavy leaves, acorns, and spiky sweetgum balls. Leaf drop usually peaks in mid October, filling roof gutters right before winter. Freezing nights happen and snow is likely, making clogged channels vulnerable to heavy frozen weight, even though ice dams in gutters are not an issue here. We recommend gutter cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to protect your property during peak seasonal shifts.
