When Emmett gutters fill up
Tree leaves, pine needles, and airborne seeds from nearby foliage gather in eaves across Emmett during every season. Leaf drop usually peaks in early October, filling channel systems right before winter weather arrives. Freezing nights happen regularly throughout the winter, and snow is likely across the region. When cold precipitation sits on trapped leaves inside a clogged gutter, water freezes into solid weight along the roof edge. While ice dams in gutters are not an issue here, snowmelt cannot drain properly through blocked metal runs. We recommend gutter cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to keep systems entirely clear before freezing nights arrive and when spring blossoms drop.
