When East Providence gutters fill up
Trees common in the region, including sugar maple, red maple, American beech, white birch, northern red oak, eastern white pine, and eastern hemlock, drop debris onto nearby homes. Maple seed wings fall during spring months, while heavy leaf drop usually peaks in mid October, followed by falling acorns and pine needles. Winter brings snow and freezing nights to Rhode Island, though ice dams in gutters are not an issue here. Still, frozen trapped water in a clogged channel can strain structural fasteners. We recommend scheduling gutter cleaning at least twice a year, during spring and fall, to keep channels open through every season.
