When Difficult Run gutters fill up
Trees common in the region drop a heavy mix of pine needles, sweetgum balls, acorns, and yellow spring pollen directly onto roof surfaces. Loblolly pine needles land all year, while sweetgum balls and live oak leaves create dense blockages every fall. Winter brings freezing nights and snow to Difficult Run, which can weigh down clogged gutters filled with slush and debris. Ice dams in gutters are not an issue here, but standing water can still freeze and strain gutter fasteners. We recommend cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to prevent overflow. Regular visits keep every downspout open before cold weather arrives.
