Debris and Drainage Conditions
Open gutter systems naturally gather fallen leaves, twigs, pine needles, seed pods, and airborne silt throughout the year. When this debris settles into horizontal gutter channels, it restricts the natural flow of rainwater toward the downspouts. Stagnant water can pool in low sections, adding weight to the fasteners and creating clogs that prevent normal runoff during moderate and heavy rainstorms.
