When Deltona gutters fill up
Trees common in the region drop leaves and debris into Deltona drainage lines throughout the calendar year. Broadleaf live oak, water oak, sweetgum, red maple, and southern magnolia drop thick leaves and heavy sweetgum balls. Conifers like loblolly pine, longleaf pine, and slash pine shed pine needles year-round, while spring brings yellow pollen and acorns. Since freezing nights are rare, ice dams in gutters do not occur, but massive summer rains quickly fill blocked channels. We recommend clearing your system at least twice a year, spring and fall, to keep rainwater flowing freely through the wet season.
