When DeLand gutters fill up
Trees common in the region, including broadleaf live oak, water oak, sweetgum, red maple, southern magnolia, loblolly pine, longleaf pine, and slash pine, dropped organic debris into every gutter system across DeLand. Ponderous pine needles land on roof slopes all year long, while live oak leaf drop packs into tight gutter corners. Spring brings heavy yellow pollen that glues dry debris into dense, heavy mats. Sweetgum balls and acorns fall during fall months. Freezing nights are rare and ice dams in gutters are not an issue, but rain volumes remain high. We recommend gutter cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to maintain uninterrupted clear roof drainage channels.
