When Davidson gutters fill up
Trees common in the region drop leaves, heavy sweetgum balls, acorns, and pine needles into local gutter channels. Pines like loblolly, longleaf, and slash pine shed needles continuously, while broadleaf live oak, water oak, sweetgum, red maple, and southern magnolia drop heavy foliage and seeds. Freezing nights happen during winter, but ice dams in gutters are not an issue here and snow is rare. However, trapped water can still freeze inside packed debris and pull gutters away from the roofline. To protect your roof and downspouts from overflow, we recommend gutter cleaning at least twice a year, during the spring and fall seasons.
