When Darlington gutters fill up
Trees common in the region drop material throughout the year onto local roofs. Broadleaf live oak, water oak, sweetgum, red maple, and southern magnolia drop heavy leaves, sweetgum balls, and acorns. Conifers like loblolly pine, longleaf pine, and slash pine drop pine needles year-round, along with thick yellow pollen in spring. Live oak leaves also fall in large amounts, while general leaf drop usually peaks in late October. Freezing nights happen here, though ice dams in gutters are not an issue and snow is rare. We recommend clearing your gutter system at least twice a year, in spring and fall, to protect the property from overflow.
