When Conover gutters fill up
Trees common in the region, such as sweetgum, red maple, water oak, and loblolly pine, send debris into Conover gutters throughout every season. Yellow pollen coats roofs each spring, while pine needles drop all year long. Leaf drop usually peaks in late October, filling gutter troughs with wet oak and maple leaves before winter. Freezing nights happen in North Carolina, and standing water in filled gutters can freeze and pull fascia boards loose, even though ice dams and heavy snow are rare. We recommend professional gutter cleaning at least twice a year, in spring and fall, to keep downspouts open and ensure water flows freely away from your property.
