When Columbia gutters fill up
Trees common in the region, including broadleaf white oak, hickory, tulip poplar, sweetgum, red maple, loblolly pine, and eastern red cedar, send constant debris into open gutters. Spring pollen covers roof surfaces, while acorns, leaves, and pine needles drop in heavy amounts. Leaf drop usually peaks in late October across Tennessee. Freezing nights happen here, and winter snow is likely, which makes water stuck in clogged channels expand and push against fascia boards. We recommend gutter cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to keep your channel clear before winter freezes arrive and before heavy spring rains flood your property line.
