When Chester gutters fill up
Trees common in the region, including sweetgum, red maple, broadleaf live oak, water oak, southern magnolia, loblolly pine, longleaf pine, and slash pine, drop debris over Chester properties. Pine needles fall all year, while yellow pollen covers metal channels during spring. Sweetgum balls, acorns, and live oak leaves drop into gutters, with general leaf drop usually peaking in late October. Freezing nights happen and snow is likely in Virginia, though ice dams in gutters are not an issue here. Still, trapped winter moisture can freeze inside a clogged downspout and crack the metal. We recommend gutter cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to protect every property.
