When Center gutters fill up
Trees common in the region drop different types of debris throughout the year across Shelby County. Broadleaf live oak trees drop heavy leaf foliage in spring rather than fall, while oak catkins and cedar elm seeds clutter roof channels early in the year. In winter, ashe juniper trees scatter dense pollen, followed by seasonal pecan debris. Loblolly pine needles and post oak leaves add to the buildup, which usually peaks in early November. Freezing nights happen here, though snow is rare and ice dams in gutters are not an issue. To prevent overflow, we recommend residential gutter cleaning at least twice a year, during spring and fall, to keep downspouts clear.
