When Cave Spring gutters fill up
Trees common in the region, including sweetgum, red maple, live oak, water oak, and southern magnolia, drop heavy debris. Conifers like loblolly, longleaf, and slash pine shed pine needles into gutters all year long. Spring brings heavy yellow pollen, while fall brings sweetgum balls, acorns, and broad leaves. Leaf drop usually peaks in late October. Winter brings freezing nights and snow, though ice dams in gutters are not an issue here. Trapped debris holds cold moisture against rooflines, which stresses metal fasteners during winter freezes. We recommend cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to keep gutters clear through shifting seasonal weather.
