When Cambria gutters fill up
Trees common in the region include broadleaf red maple, white oak, hickory, tulip poplar, and sweetgum, along with evergreen eastern white pine. In spring, oak catkins drop directly into roof channels, followed by heavy broadleaf foliage, seeds, acorns, and spiky sweetgum balls later in the year. Leaf drop usually peaks in mid October across Cambria, filing channels just before winter arrives. Freezing nights happen frequently, and ice dams in gutters are a real winter problem when packed dirt prevents total drainage, leading to trapped snow buildup. We recommend schedule gutter cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to prepare for heavy weather.
