When Brevard gutters fill up
Trees common in the region drop debris into drainage systems continuously. Conifers like loblolly pine, longleaf pine, and slash pine drop pine needles all year long, while red maple, water oak, sweetgum, and southern magnolia shed leaves and sweetgum balls. Yellow pollen arrives in spring, and live oak leaf drop adds heavy debris alongside falling acorns. Freezing nights happen and snow is likely in Brevard, making packed organic matter freeze solid inside the channels. While ice dams in gutters are not an issue here, wet pine needles and foliage block flow before winter arrives. We recommend scheduling gutter cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to clear channels.
