When Brentwood gutters fill up
Trees common in the region include broadleaf white oak, hickory, tulip poplar, sweetgum, red maple, loblolly pine, and eastern red cedar. In spring, tree pollen forms a dense paste inside the gutter system, while fall brings heavy leaf drop that usually peaks in late October. Pine needles, sweetgum balls, and acorns accumulate quickly along rooflines, clogging outlets before winter arrives. While freezing nights happen and snow is likely in Brentwood, ice dams in gutters are not an issue. We recommend gutter cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to clear fallen foliage and keep rainwater flowing correctly during freeze cycles.
