When Booneville gutters fill up
Trees common in the region drop leaves and seeds that quickly fill Booneville gutters. Broadleaf white oak, hickory, tulip poplar, sweetgum, and red maple drop dense foliage, while loblolly pine and eastern red cedar drop sharp needles. Leaf drop usually peaks in late October, though spring pollen and sweetgum pods clutter gutters earlier in the year. Although snow is rare, freezing nights happen during winter and can turn standing gutter water into solid ice weight. We recommend cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to remove pine needles and leaves before seasonal rains wash debris down into the downspout elbows.
