When Beecher gutters fill up
Trees common in the region, including sugar maple, red maple, bur oak, hickory, American elm, white pine, and spruce, drop severe debris over Beecher homes. Maple seed wings fall during spring, while acorns, pine needles, and heavy leaves gather in late summer. Leaf drop usually peaks in early October, filling channels right before freezing nights arrive. Winter snow accumulation causes heavy ice dams in gutters when trapped water cannot drain through downspouts. This ice pushes underneath roof shingles and pulls channels off the home. We recommend cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to keep systems clear for Michigan winter freezes and spring rains.
