When Atlantic City gutters fill up
Trees common in the region, including broadleaf red maple, white oak, hickory, tulip poplar, sweetgum, and eastern white pine, drop a variety of materials throughout the seasons. Spring brings oak catkins that clump inside roof channels, while mid October usually marks the peak of fall leaf drop. Spiky sweetgum balls and acorns fall late in the year, trapping water along the roofline. Although freezing nights happen in Atlantic City, snow is rare and ice dams in gutters are not an issue here. We recommend gutter cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to keep channels free of debris and protect your property from unexpected overflow during heavy coastal rains.
