When Archdale gutters fill up
Trees common in the region drop debris across Archdale roof channels throughout every season. Loblolly pine, longleaf pine, and slash pine drop pine needles all year, which pack tightly into downspout openings. Sweetgum, broadleaf live oak, water oak, red maple, and southern magnolia drop sweetgum balls, acorns, yellow pollen in spring, and live oak leaf drop. Freezing nights happen here, but ice dams in gutters are not an issue and snow is rare. Wet debris holds moisture near roof edges during cold snaps, causing rust or pulling fascia loose. We recommend cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to protect every Archdale home from blockage.
