When Angier gutters fill up
Tree species common in the region include broadleaf live oak, water oak, sweetgum, red maple, southern magnolia, loblolly pine, longleaf pine, and slash pine. Pines drop needles into roof valleys all year, while sweetgum balls and oak leaves fill channels in fall. Broadleaf live oaks shed leaves, and heavy yellow pollen drops every spring. Fall leaf drop usually peaks in late October across North Carolina. Freezing nights happen in winter, though ice dams in gutters are not an issue and snow is rare. We recommend gutter cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to maintain water flow through every gutter and downspout.
