When Alma gutters fill up
Tree species common in the region, such as post oak, pecan, live oak, cedar elm, crape myrtle, loblolly pine, and eastern red cedar, drop dynamic material throughout the year. Live oak leaves drop in spring rather than fall, while oak catkins and pecan shells fill channels in late spring. Eastern red cedar pollen settles in winter, and general leaf drop usually peaks in late October. Freezing nights happen, but ice dams in gutters are not an issue and snow is rare in Alma. We recommend clearing your gutter system at least twice a year, in spring and fall, to manage seasonal buildup.
