When Adelphi gutters fill up
Trees common in the region drop debris continuously onto Adelphi roofs. Broadleaf live oak, water oak, sweetgum, red maple, and southern magnolia drop heavy leaves and seed pods, while conifers like loblolly pine, longleaf pine, and slash pine drop needles year-round. In spring, yellow pollen and sweetgum balls settle into the gutter. Leaf drop usually peaks in mid October, filling roof gutters fast. Winter brings likely snow and freezing nights, though ice dams in gutters are not an issue here. Still, frozen debris can block melting snow. We recommend cleaning at least twice a year, spring and fall, to protect every roof in Adelphi, Maryland.
